Chervil
One of the most useful annuals and amongst the most
popular in France for flavouring and for making Chervil soup. To propagate, collect seeds as soon as ripe and sow in drills half an inch deep. Plant out a foot apart as soon as large enough to handle. Seeds itself abundantly. The whole plant smells of anise and tastes a little of pepper and of anise; it blooms during May to August. This plant finds wide use in treatment of various diseases. Also, it is considered safe to use this herb by the people throughout the world. It is also called ‘gourmet's parsley’.
